Rental Fee Schedule

               

Main Hall Gallery        66-100 people                                        $225.00

·         Up to 5 hours. $10 each additional hour
·         Includes use of kitchen - no food preparation
·         8 ft. tables and chairs

·         $50.00 Security Deposit, refundable at the Center’s discretion

·         Add use of the Newcomb Performing Terrace for an additional $35.00

 

Main Hall Gallery             65 or fewer people                               $125.00

·         Up to 5 hours. $10 each additional hour
·         Includes use of kitchen - no food preparation
·         8 ft. tables and chairs

·         $25.00 Security Deposit, refundable at the Center’s discretion

·         Add use of the Newcomb Performing Terrace for an additional $35.00

 

Performing Terrace                                                                          $45.00 

·         Up to 5 hours. $10 each additional hour
·         Use of Terrace and North lawn only

·         NO Center chairs or tables may be used outside

·         Add the use of the Annex for an additional $35.00

·         $25.00 Security Deposit, refundable at the Center’s discretion

 

Dance Studio                50 people maximum                                      $50.00

·         Up to 4 hours. $10 each additional hour
·         Available for dance only – NO other uses.

·         $25.00 Security Deposit, refundable at the Center’s discretion

Executive Director or Board of Director President must approve any use of the Dance Studio.

 

Basement I or II                    35 people maximum                             $35.00

Annex Building                       50 people maximum                                                  

·         Donation accepted only
·         For use by groups, individuals, or organizations only with the approval of the Board of Directors or Executive Director. Not for use as a party facility.

 

The User is responsible for the set-up and take-down of all tables and chairs for all functions. User also agrees to pick-up keys and participate in a walk-through tour on the last business day prior to his/her function.

Special Fees – Additional to base rental fee

Tents on lawn for any occasion will require a $20.00 deposit  per Tent

(returnable if no damage to lawn or surrounding property)

FACILITY  RENTAL AGREEMENT

 

By this agreement, the Conneaut Community Center for the Arts and Board of Trustees grants to User the right to use the space identified below, on the date and during the time specified below, for the purpose identified below, for the use fee specified below, upon the terms, conditions and restrictions herein stated. The Conneaut Community Center for the Arts may be referred to as CCCA.

 

TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

 

User agrees to comply with the following:

1.       Occupancy is limited to 100 persons maximum on the main floor, and to 50 persons on 2nd floor, if rented for use.

2.       User shall not assign this agreement nor sublet the use of the space or any other part of Conneaut Community Center’s premises nor make any alterations to same, under penalty of forfeiture and damages.

3.       User shall not use or occupy space nor any other part of Conneaut Community Center’s premises nor permit the use or occupancy of it, for any use except for the specified purpose, under penalty of forfeiture and damages.  User shall not interfere with or disturb any other user of the Owner’s premises or neighbors in the neighborhood.  User shall use or occupy space in a careful and safe manner.

4.       A $25.00 deposit, which is a portion of the total rental fee and is in addition to the security deposit, is required paid up front in order to hold the date of your function.

5.       It is a mandatory requirement for all Users to pay a $25.00 security deposit on facility rental totaling $50 to $199 and $50.00 security deposit on facility rental totaling $200 or more. These funds will not be deposited in advance of the function. They will be refunded if the space is left in good condition, and all refunds must be picked up or mailing arrangements within 10 business days or User forfeits security deposit to the Center. However, they will be deposited if, by the Executive Director’s estimation, any conditions or agreements from this agreement were not followed. Damages in excess of the security deposit will be the financial responsibility of the User.

6.       All use fees, including the security deposit, janitorial fee and kitchen fee if applicable, must be paid to Conneaut Community Center for the Arts in advance of date of use. No exceptions.

7.       No refunds will be given within 7 days of an event.

8.       Any or all exhibits in any room will not be removed during use of this facility. This is an art-oriented facility and all exhibits & displays take priority over any outside use of this facility.

9.       No smoking is permitted in the building. Please smoke outside in designated areas only, disposing of butts in appropriate receptacles.

10.   The Center prefers that NO alcoholic beverages  be permitted in or on the premises. (If I  choose to serve or permit consumption of such beverages at my event, I accept full responsibility and agree to hold blameless the Conneaut Community Center or it’s employees or trustees for injuries to me or my guests as a result of said alcoholic beverages served or consumed at the event.) No fees can be collected by user for the purpose of gambling or alcohol consumption.

11.   Children shall NOT be left unsupervised.  User is responsible for children or persons in all areas of the building and surrounding areas. Any areas disturbed beyond the agreed upon space will be subject to an additional fee and the User will be held responsible for any damages.

12.   Telephone use is limited to LOCAL CALLS only via the kitchen.  This phone will not allow long distance calls.

13.   All activities must end at the specified time, but due to being located in a residential area, evening events must end absolutely no later than 11:00 P.M. 

14.   Parking is allowed in the Center Parking lot and streets where signage allows parking. Please respect the surrounding private property.

15.   The space and premises must be left at end of use in as good condition as they were at commencement of use. Please DO NOT drag chairs, tables or equipment across floor of Main Hall. Carts are available or carry items to the location in room.

16.   All garbage and waste must be placed in closed garbage bags and placed in dumpster, located behind kitchen of main building off the parking lot.

17.   User shall be responsible for setting up and taking down tables and chairs and other accessories for specified purpose.  Decorations are permitted only with approval of center. Table coverings, paper products, dishes, glassware, silverware, and decorations are not provided by Center.

18.   Special requirements must be adhered to:

a. NO TAPE on fabric wall covering, pushpins are allowed. NO NAILS.

b. NOTHING should be hung or taped to track lighting; balloons must be kept away from the bulbs.

c. Any items used for wedding recessionals must be biodegradable & non-intrusive. Birdseed & bubbles are good examples. Silk flower petals, rice, confetti, etc. are not permitted.

19.   All advertising and notices in any media whatsoever which in any way refer or relate to the Owner or its premises or the space designated shall at all times be entirely forthright and in good taste.  Any such advertising or notice which contains information beyond announcing the activity and its date, time, and place shall contain the following disclaimer:  “The views or ideas expressed herein do not necessarily reflect the views or ideas of the Conneaut Community Center for the Arts or its trustees or its members.”  Any such advertising or notice, which, in the sole opinion of CCCA, reflects discredit or negativity on CCCA, shall be immediately discontinued upon notice from CCCA, under penalty of forfeiture and damages.

20.   The Center has a Small Business Food Permit. All Health Department rules must be adhered to. A copy of the regulations are available upon request & posted in Kitchen. Kitchen may be used for caterer or pre-event cold storage, but no on-site food preparation is permitted.

 

INDEMNIFICATION

User agrees to indemnify and hold the Conneaut Community Center for the Arts, Trustees, Employees or agents harmless from any claim, cause of action, damage, liability or expense resulting from any loss, damage or injury to any person or property upon or about the space or any other part of CCCA’s premises from any cause whatsoever arising from the use, misuse, or other activity of the User at the space and premises of CCCA, including but not limited to any alcohol-related claims, vehicular damage claims, and property claims of guests or third parties.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

The Conneaut Community Center for the Arts building is historic, and User must practice fire safety.  User shall not tamper with thermostats; they are set for economy and comfort.  Each floor is zoned for climate control.  User is responsible to maintain the security of the space and Owner’s premises.  There are eight doors to check.  Most doors do not open from the outside, but the Main front door and the porch door do.  These doors should be checked from the outside.  Turn off all lights and check all appliances.  The center has a new electrical system.  PLEASE DO NOT flip any circuit breaker, all light switches and any breaker information will be explained to you.  Call Director or Janitor if you need help.
